April 3 (Day 0)

So today was supposed to be a full biking day, but my flight got in late and I ended up waking up around 10. I had absolutely zero rain gear and, since it was raining all week, I had to make a stop at REI to gear up (I also need a new headlight which I realized way too late today). Afterwards, I went for a quick 11-mile ride to check out the gear and make sure I was still capable of pedalling. I've been biking for a while now, but after vacation your legs always kind of give up.

I've got a ride scheduled for tomorrow with Cascade. It's 33 miles, which is fairly short, but I opted for a somewhat slower pace (12-14 compared to my regular 14-16 mph) just because I haven't biked in a while and it's going to be a bit chilly. I'm excited for the ride tomorrow and to be back on the saddle seriously.

Overall, I definitely underestimated the amount of training I'll need to do for senior project. Basically, from now on, I'm going to have to be biking at least every other day, probably two hours or more. But it's something I'm looking forward to.

Note: forgot to post the last two blog posts, they are included beneath. Today was quite tough. I ended up going for the 45-miler and I completed it. By the end, my legs were so tired that I almost cr

Much better today. I went for a 30-mile group ride at a slower pace because I wasn't sure if I'd be in shape. The pace definitely felt slow. I under-packed which is kind of how it goes after not cycli
