April 8 (Day 5)

Today was rough. My legs were still tired from yesterday. I was planning on going on another 45-miler but that just wasn't going to happen. The weather was atrocious and I started getting cold because I think I was using all the nutrients I had to recover from my last ride. I went home after about 25 miles an then completed the other 20 at the gym on a trainer where it's nice and warm.

I learned a lot, but most importantly, two smaller rides will be better than one big ride for senior project. It just isn't feasible to keep up 45-mile rides every day, especially when the margin of error is so small.
